Meeting Santa Claus

All the kids liked Santa this year. No crying or coercing to take a picture with the big scary man in red. It was a little difficult to get good shots with the big guy because my kids are not posers, except for Evan.

I think Emma was trying to play with Santa's beard. She said she touched it to see if it felt fluffy.

More pictures from the last few weeks. This was during one of the times I was "checking " my e-mails and the kids were real quiet.
And Emma got this cute headband from her great grandma Millie and great grandpa Bill for her birthday. She loves it!

The Turkey Song

Emma learned a cute Thanksgiving song at school. I wanted her to sing it for her grandparents at Thanksgiving but I forgot so here it is. The video I took of her at school singing the song cuts out because I didn't have any more memory. So, I asked her to sing it again for me when we got home. Notice that at school she does not participate and so it seems she doesn't know the song. At home she knows it just fine. In fact, she hams it up a little. She has always refused to participate at storytime and other activities. Why? Do you think she will grow out of this or is this just her personality? I wonder if I was that way.

HaHaHa. I just saw the video again. I enjoy the part where Emma stops in the middle of song to think about how many fingers she has to put up for the number 2.

Family Pictures

Our famous neighbor took our family pictures at Red Rock on Wednesday. Our kids weren't very cooperative but she still managed to take some great photos. Thanks Karen. And thanks Melinda and Ben for watching the kids and allowing Karen to do this for us.

I think this is maybe the third or fourth time that she has cut her hair. Where does she find the scissors?

This little one is usually so happy but had a hard time with taking pictures. I think he was hungry and tired.

Evan wanted to wear his cool CARS shoes but I wanted him to wear his black sunday shoes. He had a meltodwn and refused to smile in pictures for awhile. He won and got to put his beloved shoes on and in the end you can't see his shoes in any of the pictures.

Look how short I am. I am wearing high heels and standing on a rock and I am still shorter, a lot shorter than Will.

Medela Freestyle

One day I will have another kid and I would love to have a breastpump so that I don't have to rent one from the hospital (which you can't do in Las Vegas.) So, wish me luck on winning this one at http://theshoppingmama.com/2009/10/medela-freestyle-breastpump-all-about-baby-giveaway/. You can find out more about the Medela Freestyle at this site

An Incredible Halloween

This year our family theme was "The Incredibles". I found Evan and Daniel's costumes on craigslist and a friend found Emma's costume at Saver's . My fabulous neighbor made our shirts. All our costumes were inexpensive. We only had two glitches. Emma and Evan's costumes were a little too big for them. On Thursday we debated doing this theme next year when the kids could fit the costumes better but my neighbor saved the day again and made some quick alterations. The other worry was Evan not wanting to wear his costume. He would never wear the costume for than a couple of minutes for our "dress rehearsals", but in the end he did great. We had a fun time and we are already brainstorming for next year.....

Happy Halloween!

Corn Maze

We made the trek out to the nearest corn maze, an HOUR away. I told Will I want to make a trip out to Utah next fall because they have great family friendly activities. We ended up in the scary part of the corn maze and scared Emma and Evan pretty bad.

Overall we had fun spending time together. I dressed up the kids for cold weather and it was so hot we were sweating.
